MegaMan X3 (PC).rar Mega man X8 is one of the best games that I have ever played, but it has a lot of problems. Firstly, there are no save points in time. This means that if you die, your progress will be gone for good! It also means that you are forced to replay stages over and over again if you want to survive long enough to reach the boss. In addition, Mega Man X8 only has four selectable characters in total with each having different weapons and abilities which can make it difficult for newcomers to get comfortable with the controls, making this an even harder game by comparison. Finally, the game has some very annoying bugs that can occur at any time during gameplay. The sound effects are usually good, but the music can get annoying very quickly. The graphics are fairly good, though I have to admit that the robot designs look kind of weird at times. Mega Man X8 was released in two versions: a standard version for Genesis+ and a super-playable edition for FM Towns computers. However, japanese gamers did get both versions of Mega Man X8 by buying an additional disk called GamemaniX8 Junbou Gekidan which translates as a Game Player's Guide book. The FM Towns version of the game is a joint effort between Capcom and Paradise, which was quite popular at the time for producing really high quality games. The super-playable FM Towns version is not only more crisp and better looking than the Genesis+ version, but it also offers some exclusive features like CD-quality music, no load times during levels (the FM Towns has two discs), dozens of new background music tracks (including one by Japanese rock band Bump of Chicken) and unlockable artworks. These differences made the Mega Man X8 (FM Towns) game cartridge very hard to find because it's almost always sold at a premium price nowadays. In fact, some of the artworks in the FM Towns version of Mega Man X8 were very hard to find. Most of them were hidden in a special folder which you had to extract from the disc by using some PC software which was only available on a floppy diskette. This diskette also came with some other goodies, including a character artwork gallery and a fan-made comic that featured all characters from both Mega Man X7 and Mega Man X8. However, this comic was never released outside Japan so it's pretty difficult to get. Another reason why people would want the FM Towns version of Mega Man X8 is because it has more unlockable items than its Genesis+ counterpart. This extra content includes more music tracks, more items, difficulty setting changes and three boss-only weapons for series veterans. As far as I can tell, all of these extras are unique to the FM Towns version. Also, the FM Towns version will not work in a Genesis+ emulator, but you can patch it with an offline emulator like DOSBox to make it playable in modern PCs. Because of these differences in gameplay and extra content between the two Mega Man X8 games, I'm going to discuss them separately throughout this review. cfa1e77820
